"My vision is to create an environment of trust and rigorous learning whereby students explore to thrive for academic excellence with high expectations to achieve the best of their ability."
After observing numbers of students struggling in Literacy and Mathematics, I recognized a critical need to support students with differentiated instruction utilizing a custom-tailored curriculum.
My tenure extends over twenty five years of classroom instruction.
I attended grammar school in Toronto, Ontario Canada and Vancouver, British Columbia by invitation of the United States Government. In the nineteen seventies , I traveled to Germany with my high school choir and also overseas as a ballet dancer with Tayton School of Ballet.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University and a Bachelors in History from Wayne State University. Marygrove College is where I obtained kindergarten through eighth grade certification in ALL core subjects, including a History middle school endorsement.
When I am not tutoring, I enjoy playing golf with students, volunteering for youth activities, bike riding and also reading after working out at the gym.
Membership in professional organizations have been the American Federation of Teachers and the Detroit Federation of Teachers.
Former volunteer affiliations are the Boy Scouts of America, Big Brothers Big Sisters and a summer youth program with the Detroit Police Department.
